Things to Do in Ephesus

Ephesus is one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean — the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre are the headline sights, but the site rewards a slower walk. This collection ranks what's actually worth seeing.
Good to know: There's genuinely very little shade across the site — sun protection matters more here than almost anywhere else in Turkey. The site has two entrances (upper and lower gates); entering at the upper gate lets you walk downhill, which is noticeably easier. Terrace Houses require a separate ticket from the main site entrance.
