Relocating to Turkey From Kenya

How Kenyan citizens can get a Turkey visa in 2026 — the e-Visa eligibility catch, and when the Nairobi sticker visa route is required instead.

Kenyan passport holders need a visa to enter Turkey — there's no visa-free access. Two routes exist: an e-Visa, but only if you already hold a valid Schengen, US, UK, or Irish visa (or a residence permit from one of those); or a sticker visa applied for in person at the Turkish application center in Nairobi if you don't hold one of those qualifying documents.

Most first-time Kenyan applicants without an existing Schengen/US/UK/Irish visa will need the sticker visa route. Confirm current requirements directly with the Turkish Embassy or Permanent Mission in Nairobi before booking travel, since visa rules are updated periodically.

Once you've entered legally, the residence permit and work permit processes work the same as for any other nationality.
